Specialised Imaging is an internationally renowned company dedicated to the design and manufacture of ultra-high-speed imaging systems for defense, industrial and scientific research applications.
Specialised Imaging has been at the forefront of high-speed imaging innovation for the last twenty years and has successfully launched several innovative ultra-highspeed imaging solutions.
Our commitment to development has enabled the company to establish a solid reputation in the high-speed camera market, with solutions such as the KIRANA – a true Ultra high-speed video camera capable of up to 7 million images/second at full resolution, the SIM Framing camera capable of up to 1 Billion pictures/second and the Tracker which allows the tracking of projectiles with near real-time corrections. To provide complete imaging systems we have developed sophisticated triggering, lighting and optics solutions, whilst representing complementary imaging products.
OUR PRODUCTS
Kirana Ultra-high-speed video camera capable of frame rates up to 7Mfps. Exposures time down to 50ns. Camera capable of producing 180 images per event and each image has a resolution of 924×768 with 10bits at all frame rates.
SIM Digital Multi-Channel Ultra-High-Speed Framing Camera designed to meet the needs of experimenters in a wide range of applications including ballistics, detonics, crack propagation, plasma studies, etc.
Tracker2/TLite A Trajectory Tracker (flight follower system) specifically designed to offer high precision scanning at extremely high speed with a large mirror. User friendly integrated controls and ease of deployment on a sturdy, fully adjustable motorised mount.
SIL3 Lens Intensifier System for use with third party imaging equipment. This is a family of controllable MCP image intensifiers which allow customers to enhance the performance of high-speed cameras and systems to suit their particular application. Variants are available with intensifiers from 18mm to 40mm, with a choice of gains up to 100,000 times.
SIR3 A Ballistic range camera specifically designed to operate in the harsh environment of outdoor ranges. This camera, however, is equally at home delivering results for scientific and industrial applications.
PCB Piezotronics designs and manufactures a complete range of sensors dedicated to deflagration, detonation, and shock wave testing for the defense, mining, and explosives research sectors, as well as for shooter detection and projectile tracking applications.
Our pressure sensors and probes (Series 134, 113, and 137) are specifically designed to measure incident or reflected shock waves, explosive blasts, and ballistic phenomena. These measurements require extremely fast rise times (≤ 0.2 µs) and frequency responses greater than 1.5 MHz. We also offer dual-diaphragm pressure probes that simultaneously capture shock wave pressure and wave propagation speed.
Our range includes sensors with ICP® piezoelectric sensing elements or piezoresistive MEMS technology, depending on the specific constraints of each application.
In addition, we supply a broad selection of ICP® piezoelectric shock accelerometers (single-axis and triaxial) and MEMS accelerometers, specifically designed for all types of pyrotechnic applications.
Philippe Briquet (Sales Manager – Aerospace, Space & Defense) and Pakize Delor (Market Manager – Harsh Environment Testing) bring their expertise to support your most demanding test campaigns.
With PCB Piezotronics, you benefit from robust and high-performance instrumentation tailored to the extreme dynamics and precision required in blast and ballistic testing environments.
